MyMemories Suite version 4, which is what I reviewed, runs $39.97. This isn’t a page I’d actually use for anything, but it came together pretty quickly and gives you some idea of the range of items you can add to a basic page. I added the background paper, the picture and its border, the heart shape with text on top, added the three flowers and put a bow on the Bit’s head. It’s not that good, but at least it shows you some of the options. I was just trying out different things and not going for high art, but this shows you a bit of what you can do. Speaking of just playing around, I also tried to build up a page from blank. That’s why this page has a different kind of title than the others, which would be a little annoying if I weren’t just playing around.

This page has a random header because I couldn’t figure out how to make it match. One thing I couldn’t figure out how to do is to change the words on a template page while maintaining the same font, or figuring out what font those display headers are in so that you can create one with your own words that looks the same. You can also add audio, video or narration to your album (I didn’t try that). For example you can add word art, embellishments, shapes, background papers and more. The menus are pretty easy to figure out and there are lots of options for adding things to template pages or building your pages up from blank. (Because of this blog, we have lots of those sorts of pictures.) Pictures open large and you can drag them to the frame you want them in, and from there move them around and zoom in and out. I picked a template with circles and started throwing in random recent pictures of the girl doing creative things. You can of course make your own from-scratch designs for these items and more, including blog/Facebook/etsy headers and graphics, which you may be seeing from me in the future! You can also buy more templates from MyMemories, and not just for scrapbook pages they also sell things like pie boxes, envelopes, bookmarks, greeting cards and recipe cards. There are holiday and seasonal themes as well as more general styles. What’s great about this software is that it comes loaded with tons of templates you can use to build your book, or you can start from scratch. She sent me a copy to review and I’ve played with it a little and it looks like a lot of fun for people who are into scrapbooking as well as people like me who don’t really know where to start. So I was really excited when Liz from My Memories asked me if I’d take a look at their digital scrapbooking software. Everything is digital these days, shouldn’t our scrapbooks be, too? Simple Software to Get Started I still have a dream of getting it all together so that the girl will at least have photo books that preserve her growing up story (since she doesn’t even have a baby book, I know a lot has already been forgotten), but I don’t think I’ll ever be the photos on paper kind of scrapbooker. The stuff would sit unused for months or a year until the next time I did an office purge and realized, again, that I am not the kind of person who scrapbooks. I’d go to Hobby Lobby (when it was the only choice in town) and load up on paper, stickers, whatever I thought would make me want to take pictures and put them in a book in a fancy way. Even before I had a kid, every couple of years I would decided I was going to be the kind of person who scrapbooks. I have always wanted to be a person who does scrapbooking.
